Data we collect

We process account data (name, email, login credentials), support messages, usage telemetry, device identifiers and IP addresses (hashed for trial abuse prevention), and cookie preferences.

Your documents are processed locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose "Save to my account": those documents are stored in private account storage that only you can access, and you can delete them at any time from your dashboard.

Purposes and legal basis

We process data to provide the service and support (contract performance), prevent fraud and trial abuse (legitimate interest), improve our product (legitimate interest), send marketing (only with consent), and comply with legal obligations.

Who we share data with

We share data with hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics providers (only with consent), professional advisers, and authorities where required. Paddle.com acts as our Merchant of Record for all subscription sales, payment processing, tax compliance, and invoicing.

International transfers

Data may be processed outside the UK/EEA. In such cases, we ensure safeguards like standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions are in place.

Data retention

Data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymised. Hashed signals for trial-abuse prevention are kept for a limited period.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent. You can exercise these via your dashboard or by emailing admin@completeeditor.com. We respond within one month.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your personal data.
